Hello
I've been using Indesign for a while -and about 6 months ago started using CS3, and its seems that my paragraph styles have a mind of there own - they don't do what i've set - is it me or is this a common problem?
Thanks

ID Para Styles
Sun, 05/18/2008 - 15:54 — Scott Citron (not verified)The problem you're having is well known and continues to annoy even seasoned ID users.
It has to do with the fact that Character Styles override Paragraph Styles. This means that if a Character Style is highlighted in the Character Styles panel, those styles will override any applied Para styles. To solve this problem users must be vigilant to make sure that Character Styles are set to None when applying Paragraph Styles.
Hope this makes sense and is of some help.
I have been struggling with
Wed, 11/25/2009 - 08:55 — Visitor (not verified)I have been struggling with this very same font issue, and sure enough changing character styles to none (you must first highlight the entire string of text) and then applying my paragraph style worked. Although this is ridiculous because I never even applied a character style. Thanks for the info., although I sure hope Adobe resolves this issue soon.
