Let’s get back to the 1 bit / 2 bit argument from last year… it never really got resolved. I say let’s throw in a 3.5 bit element, and then we’ll really have some pissed off people on this site.

Thanks for the info. Was trying to print a book cover project and the print option was grayed out. Drove me nuts for two days. Then I discovered that it ws 32 bit while my other projects were 8. Changed and got the print.

two-bit IMPLIES that the storage required for a given ‘state’/color is TWO BITS.

to store black requires one bit. “1”
to store white requires one bit. “0”

B&W images use ONE BIT per pixel.

A bit isn’t a color, it’s a number one or a zero – thus, two bit.

2-bit images? makes no sense. if it’s black & white, that’s 2 colors, or 2 ‘states’ …
that’s ONE BIT.
