Many users of Adobe’s Creative Suite software are unaware that Adobe provides an excellent printing guide in PDF format to aid in learning the ins-and-outs of successful commercial printing using the Creative Suite apps
The guide is an excellent resource for new users, serving as a training manual, as well as a brush-up for experienced users. If you’re looking for a simple, one app solution to viewing, downloading and managing video files on your Mac, Eltima Software has the solution for you.Let me start out by saying that Eltima offers a free version of Elmedia Player, but I don’t recommend it because there are already several plugins and apps that integrate with the Mac OS and your browser to simply view videos not natively supported on the Mac. While Elmedia Player (free) does this well, it adds an extra step vs. browser plugins, etc. For a truly full-featured solution, you really need Elmedia Player Pro ($19.95). (more…)

Photoshop Style A Day is a relatively new site I came across that offers just what the name implies. I’ve downloaded all of the styles currently available, and most are of excellent quality. Now I know what you’re going to say, some of them look kind of cheesy – I won’t argue that. But when you consider that after applying a style, your text or object remains editable, you can go back and tweek it to your heart’s content.

Free PSD files for download
Layered Photoshop files can be a great learning experience
Lava360 has put together a great list of Adobe Photoshop PSD files, free for download and use in your designs. Of particular use might be a DVD disc and case template. Even if you don’t need the actual artwork, it’s always nice to see how other artists compose their files.
