Some EXCELLENT advice on how to handle large volumes of email. What I love about this method is that it doesn’t involve 3rd party add-ons, or convoluted organizing schemes; both of which require more effort than it’s worth, in my opinion.

New features in this Adobe Illustrator release include:
Package Files – a long-requested featurethat allows designers to automatically collect all the files used in an Illustrator project, including linked graphics and fonts, into a single folder helping make handoffs and sharing of projects more efficient and error-free.
Unembed Images – a new capability that enables production artists to quickly unembed images that have been embedded into an Illustrator file by other designers or customers, eliminating much wasted time in day-to-day production work.
Links Panel Enhancements – a new feature enhancement that allows users to access and track information on any artwork placed in an Illustrator file much quicker. What used to require multiple clicks to ensure all placed graphics meet necessary requirements for output is now surfaced up front.
Macworld has put together a nice piece on how to get started with Google+.
Patently Apple reports on recent Apple patent filings that indicate Apple is working on a graphics application with a new fancy-pants GUI. Now I don’t doubt that Apple is (or was) working on a graphics package. But I HIGHLY doubt that this graphics app was meant to compete with Photoshop – unless you feel like iWork actually competes with MS Office. That being said, a fourth app added to iWork would be nice, no?
Very interesting patent filing, nonetheless.
Apparently, quite a few people. It is still the only legally approved method of transmitting documents for many companies. I know very few companies that have an actual fax machine, and the ones I do know of generally end up scanning the fax and saving it as a PDF. So why not skip the expensive and messy middle step.
HelloFax makes it easy to sign documents and send faxes online. You’ll never need to print, sign and scan documents again. HelloFax also integrates with Google Drive, for those with a Gmail account.
The Adobe Exchange panel provides a new way to search, discover, and install plug-ins, extensions, and other content for Creative Suite products. With this preview of the Adobe Exchange panel, you can browse through items that are available for your CS6 applications; download and install those items; and update acquired items when new versions are available.
For those who’ve been around a while, you may recall that Adobe Exchange was previously available only from the web – and it was an absolutely horrible web experience. This new Panel is a huge improvement!
